Bill Truran has over 25 years of writing. He comes from an engineering background, with several degrees including a Ph.D. He has an MS from Columbia University and a Creative Writing certificate from U Cal Berkeley Extension.

Bill has 5 published books and 4 historical manuscripts underway, including this Honest Ogden that is ready for publication. Three manuscripts, including Honest Ogden, center on real major historical characters in the NYC metropolitan area from the Revolutionary War (Ogden-a Patriot leader of NJ, Morris-signer of the Declaration of Independence, and Seward-military leader in battles).

Bill has taught in college for a decade and gives lectures in schools and towns. Bill is the Sussex County Historian and writes in the local paper each week on history. He is involved with the upcoming 250th Anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 2 years.
